Lightroom Immich Plugin

A Lightroom Classic plugin that exports, publishes and imports photos between Lightroom and a self-hosted Immich server.

The Lightroom Immich Plugin (lrc-immich-plugin) is a free, open-source plugin for Adobe Lightroom Classic. It talks to an Immich server through the Immich API. You can upload and back up photos to Immich, keep albums in sync and import photos from Immich into Lightroom.

You use it either as an export preset or as a publish service.

Features

  • Connection: set up your Immich instance with its URL and an API key, either in the Export dialog or when you create the publish service.
  • Publishing:
    • Creates, renames and deletes albums to match the published collection.
    • Uploads, updates and deletes images from the published collection.
    • Downloads comments and likes from Immich into Lightroom if the album is a shared album.
  • Export:
    • Optionally choose or create an album when exporting to Immich.
    • Replaces existing images.
    • Detects duplicates by Lightroom catalog ID, and by date and filename.
  • Import: imports images from Immich into the Lightroom Classic catalog, one album at a time.
  • Stacking: when uploading, the plugin can create stacks in Immich. Related assets, such as a RAW file and its edited version or several versions of one photo, are grouped under a primary image. This keeps the Immich timeline tidy and matches how you organise photos in Lightroom.

Usage

After installing, enter your Immich server URL and an API key in the export preset, in the Immich publish service, or in both.

The API key needs these permissions:

activity.read · asset.read · asset.upload · asset.replace · asset.delete · asset.download · asset.update · asset.copy · albumAsset.create · albumAsset.delete · album.read · album.create · album.delete · album.update · user.read · stack.create

Troubleshooting

Check the plugin’s log file first. Open the Lightroom Plug-in Manager, select the Immich plugin, turn on Enable debug logging and click Show logfile.
